HILLARY MISHCON

"Dresser"
This painting depicts another bedroom from the farmhouse in Martinsville, Maine that my family rented for family reunions back when I was a kid. The owners often chose a color for each room, and I loved the bright orange color they choose for the furniture. By far my favorite part of this painting is the lampshade cord, which must have been new because of the crimps that prevented it from lying flat. I really enjoy the playful shape it cut through the painting.
